Every year on Rosh Hashanah morning, we read the Akedah, the Binding of Isaac. This famous story is told and retold, reimagined and interpreted throughout history. Together we will look at the different versions of this story, from ancient midrash, from the Quran, as well as other religious and secular retellings. Join us as we examine the traditional text as well as these diverse retellings.
This event will be taking place on Zoom. For all Chicago Sinai Congregation members, please refer to your weekly email for the link and password.
