Join us for a remarkable morning of prayer, conversation, and inspiration with Rabbi Angela Warnick Buchdahl, Senior Rabbi of Central Synagogue in New York City.

We’ll begin with Shabbat Services (9:00–9:45 AM) led by Rabbi Buchdahl and the Sinai clergy, followed by a moderated conversation (until 11:00 AM) about her forthcoming memoir, Heart of a Stranger.

In her groundbreaking new book, Rabbi Buchdahl—born in Seoul to a Korean Buddhist mother and Jewish American father—shares her journey from feeling like an outsider to becoming one of the most admired religious leaders in the world. With honesty and grace, she reflects on belonging, faith, leadership, and the power of embracing one’s whole self.

Recognized as the first Asian American ordained as both cantor and rabbi, Rabbi Buchdahl has reimagined Jewish worship, leading services that draw thousands in person and online from more than 100 countries. She has been invited to light the White House menorah by Presidents Obama and Biden and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, PBS, and NPR.
